Weekday afternoons
Over the years Ernie has interviewed every A-List celebrity including John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Nicole Kidman, Debbie Reynolds, Mel Brooks, Kylie Minogue, Olivia Newton-John and many, many more. In fact, the only one he hasn’t interviewed is the Queen (we have a request in for Her Majesty next week).
- What was your first job?
- Panel Operator at 3DB.
What is your favourite on air moment thus far?- Friday lunch with Denis Walter and Darren James is always a highlight. But I think my favourite on-air moment was when I was interviewing Queen Elizabeth II and she told me that she tunes into my program on the internet when she’s at Buckingham Palace.
- What is your most embarrassing on air moment?
- That would be when Suzie Wilks was in the studio and my producer jumped out from behind a curtain with a hideous fat mannequin and scared the tish out of me. I then proceeded to cry and Suzie had to comfort me.
- If you could interview anyone (living or dead) who would it be?
- Napoleon Bonaparte. He was my distant cousin.
