It has been another bumper year for Melbourne's No.1 radio station 3AW. Aside from topping the ratings in every survey - the latest win marking the 40th No.1 ranking in a row - the station has again informed, entertained and pulled at the heart strings of loyal listeners and new listeners alike.

3AW came out on the top of the pile at the ACRA awards with morning talk stalwart Neil Mitchell taking the award for Best Talk Presenter, Best Current Affairs Commentator and he was also bestowed the honour of being inducted into the prestigious ACRA Hall of Fame in recognition of his lifetime achievement in talk radio.

Other accolades for 3AW personalities went to Tony Tardio who received the award for Best News Presenter, Clinton Grybas for best Sports Presenter and Natalie Florence won the Innovation and Excellence award.

"It was the best award result ever for 3AW and reflects the terrific contribution and professionalism of everyone at the station," said Program Director Clark Forbes.

"What a great way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of talkback radio."
