MAGIC 1278, PLAYING THE BEST SONGS OF ALL TIME

 Good Friday Appeal - Gallery

Magic 1278 was proud to support this fantastic cause

Magic 1278 again geared up for a huge effort in support of the 2008 Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal. The broadcast kicked off at 6am in our Bank St studios with Kevin John & Jane Holmes, and continued with Ric Ditchburn joining Kevin, and then Ward Everaardt joining Ric.

At 4pm our focus switched to The Telstra Dome where Ric was joined by All Saints star Virginia Gay to co-host our broadcast from the Victory Room until 6pm. It was Virginia’s first foray into radio but she handled it like a veteran, and Ric has PROMISED he will start watching All Saints.

Between 6-7pm Peter van resumed duties in the studio playing requests, and at midnight we were all thrilled with the news that a the appeal had raised a record $12.4 million. Magic 1278 is absolutely delighted to be able to support all the wonderful people involved with the Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal.
